I love my silent yoga practice, and understand it’s importance, but sometimes you just want to cut loose and enjoy the dance. For me, music has been a huge part of my life. I grew up during the Golden Era of Hip-Hop, and that has played an intricate part of who I am as a person. Which is why I enjoy fusing yoga and Hip-Hop together. It is two of the best parts of my life, the love of yoga, and the raw energy of Hip-Hip.
Hip-Hop does it for me. It is life for me, but maybe another a genre of music does it for you. The point is if you enjoy it, and it is part of your heart, be authentic to who you are and make it part of your practice. Honor your truth and let it guide you through your movement.
